Add 1–2 teaspoons of Damiana Leaf to 8–12 ounces of hot water.
Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain. Because damiana is naturally earthy and bitter, soften it with rose, cinnamon, cacao, orange peel, honey, or lemon balm.
Enjoy it as an evening ritual, before intimacy, or whenever you need help shifting out of productivity mode and back into your body.
Prepare a strong damiana tea using 1 tablespoon per cup of water. Cool completely, then combine with sparkling water, citrus, honey, or pomegranate juice.
Serve over ice with rose petals or an orange slice. Suddenly your nervous system has a reservation somewhere nicer.
Fill a clean jar about one-third full with dried damiana leaf. Cover completely with honey and stir well.
Allow it to infuse for 1–2 weeks, stirring occasionally. Add a spoonful to tea, cacao, warm milk, or desserts.
Fill a clean, completely dry jar halfway with damiana leaf. Cover fully with jojoba, sweet almond, or olive oil.
Infuse for 2–4 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking gently every few days. Strain thoroughly and use as a massage or body oil. For external use only.
Place a small handful of damiana in a muslin bag and add it to warm bathwater, either alone or with rose and lavender.
For an aromatic facial or body steam, add the herb to hot water, allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature, and enjoy the rising aroma without placing delicate skin too close to the heat.
